STANDARD "CLEAR" GLASS HAS A DISTINCT GREENISH TINT- MOST OBVIOUS ON EDGE- THIS IS DUE TO THE IRON CONTENT PRESENT IN THE GLASS.
Starphire glass has much of the iron content removed from the glass to create a less green appearance, in a small piece it will almost appear completley clear. Some iron is still required to ensure the structure of the glass, so there will still be a greenish or blue green tint apparant- but much less than standard clear.
Note: the glass on right right (Starphire) is much less green than the standard clear. Small samples can be deceiving! Much like a body of water,a small cup of water will seem completly clear, but in a large body it will appear darker- the same principle applies to glass.

additional comments:
custom glass options may increase lead times and costs.
Starphire Glass - although much less green that standard float, isome green is still present. it is impossible to remove all of the iron content from glass without compromising the structural properties of the glass. depending on the manufacturer, this color can range from a lighter green to a blueish tint. trade names for low iron glass include: starphire™ and UltraWhite™ . The thicker the glass, the more apparant edge color will be.
